Tasks and Responsibilities
Charter captain supervises and assists with inflation, deflation, rigging, of parasails and the vessel. Is responsible for the safety of all passengers and crew. Provide instruction and demonstrations to patrons, equip and fit harnesses and safety gear and equipment. Care for and maintain cleanliness and security of the vessel. Provide information to callers and transient visitors to support the promotion of parasailing experiences. Customer registrations, reservations, point of sale transactions, document organization and assistance with overall set up and closing of daily business activities.
MUST HAVE:
- SVOP – Small Vessel Operator Proficiency certificate
- MED SDV-BS – Small Non-Pleasure Domestic Vessel Basic Safety certificate
- When combined, these two certificates are deemed as minimum requirements for a commercial “Captain’s Licence”.
- Two years of specific experience and training in commercial parasailing is required.
Successful applicant will possess good verbal and written communication skills, organized, clean and professional presentation. Must have reliable transportation to work (Red Umbrella Inn). Must enjoy working outdoors in variable weather conditions. Paid Training wage provided in pre-season. Employer requires weekend work periods in Spring, Summer and Fall as necessary.

Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
